Bike Nite at Cruiser's Cafe- Sept 23

First off, I've been too lazy to post on this Blog for a few weeks, but in truth- I lead such a boring life- there wasn't much to post about !
Anyway, I had been campaigning for the Bike Night at the Cruisers Cafe in Mt. Pleasant Mills(PA), and last night was the event ! And it was a smashing success, especially considering how much effort or advertising was really put in ahead of time. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so enjoy the pix of our First ever Bike Night at the Cruiser's Cafe !

Where I live...

I live in Central PA., in Juniata Co. to be precise. I reside on a small farmette in the Village of Bunkertown, just east of McAlisterville.

The photo below is of my front fields, the lane up to my house from the main hiway, and of course- My House !
This last photo, is my Landmark, or should I say my Lane Mark. It's found at the end of my lane down my the main hiway, so it can be easily spotted, so people know where to turn up my lane. And if you NEED to ask, why it's there, or how it got there, please do :-)

My Helmets...

Somebody recently asked me(on a motorcycle forum), what motorcycle helmet I use. Although I have several, presently I'm using these two, which are my faves. FYI- the Orange one was sold thru Harley dealers, but made by KBC and is a fiberglass helmet and is both DOT and SNELL approved. The multi colored Helmet is made by Xpeed, and is also fiberglass and DOT and Snell rated. Hey- you can use a $2.00 helmet if your got a $2.00 HEAD...but mines worth a bit more -LOL !

My First Entry

Oh well, it was bound to happen someday, now I have a Blog- LOL !
For my first entry, I'll mention the solo Motorcycle ride I did today on my Harley Sportster. I rode the back way over the mountains from my home to Centre Co.(Pennsylvania) and ended up at Howard Lake. While I was there, I took a couple of photos, which I'll share with you here.
The first photo isn't the greatest, but then again I have a pretty cheap camera. But I did manage to catch the speedboat as it was whizzing by.

This second photo is from further east on the lake facing the bridge that crosses the lake. And FYI- this is a man-made lake.

The third photo is facing south toward the town of Howard on the opposite shore, and I believe at one time, some of the town was located where the lake is now found. BTW- the town of Howard is obscured by the huge Island in the middle of the lake.
